Abdominal ultrasound is a non‑invasive, pain‑free and informative exam that assesses the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys and other organs. With no radiation, it suits all ages. Exams are performed on modern high‑accuracy equipment.

What does it show?

• Gallbladder stones.
• Hepatic steatosis.
• Inflammation of the pancreas, spleen and other organs.
• Liver structural changes and fibrosis signs.
• Benign and malignant masses.
• Post‑trauma organ dysfunction.

When is it performed?

• Abdominal pain of any type.
• Constipation; prolonged diarrhea.
• Nausea and vomiting.
• Bloating and GI dysfunction.
• Heaviness after meals.
• Suspected liver, gallbladder or pancreatic disease.
• Trauma; pre‑operative exams; biopsy guidance.

Procedure

• Patient lies on the couch; body position may be adjusted depending on the organ.
• Exam duration is about 20–30 minutes.
• Results are issued immediately after the procedure.

• High‑frequency linear and convex probes; Doppler modes.
