MRI of the Brain
MRI of the brain is an advanced, highly accurate and completely safe diagnostic method that allows visualization of the brain structures in great detail. The technology provides high-resolution three-dimensional images without radiation exposure. In our clinic, research is performed using a high-tech MRI scanner, ensuring exceptional precision for early detection of neurological and structural abnormalities.
Why Is Brain MRI Performed?
MRI is the gold standard for evaluating neurological conditions when other imaging methods are insufficient. It helps identify the cause of symptoms, detect inflammation, tumors, circulatory disorders, degenerative diseases and consequences of trauma.
Brain MRI is also used to monitor the course of neurological diseases and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
Indications for Brain MRI
- persistent headaches or migraines;
- frequent seizures;
- vision deterioration or visual field changes;
- progressive psychiatric disorders;
- numbness or loss of sensitivity in limbs;
- fainting, dizziness, instability;
- high blood pressure with neurological symptoms;
- suspected stroke;
- tinnitus, memory impairment, cognitive decline.
MRI is essential when a tumor, multiple sclerosis, blood flow abnormalities or post-traumatic changes are suspected.
How Is the Procedure Performed?
Special preparation is not required. The patient removes all metal objects and lies still throughout the scan to avoid image distortion. In some cases, additional fixation may be used.
The scan duration is 15–30 minutes depending on the diagnostic task.
